Donald Trump defended his use of Trump Tower advertisements during a CNN interview on Wednesday, saying that he has not seen any evidence to back up the allegations against him.
“I’ve been very clear,” Trump said in the interview with CNN host Jake Tapper, “that I’m not going to be using them, and I don’t know if you saw it or not, but they’re very clear, they’re really clear, Jake, that I am not going use them.
I’ve never been in any controversy over them, Jake.”
Trump, who is under fire from some in the news media for his use the Trump Tower commercial, argued that his use has not been scrutinized or scrutinized, but that it has been an effective way to connect with his base.
“Look, the real problem is the media.
And we’re seeing a lot of things,” Trump told Tapper.
“They’re trying to smear us and they’re trying not to talk to us and we’re just doing it.
I mean, I’ve been doing it all my life.
I’m doing it now.”
Trump has long defended his reliance on his own branding to help sell his properties and have been criticized for the tactics that have made his business empire the biggest in the world.
In the CNN interview, Trump said he would be willing to discuss any potential conflicts of interest he may have in his role as President Trump, but stressed that he does not believe that there is any “conflict of interest” with his role.
“The only conflict I have is the president of the United States,” he said.
“And I’m willing to talk about any conflict of interest.”
Trump also defended his decision to use the commercial in his campaign to promote his hotels and resorts in New York and Florida, saying, “I don’t need the money.
I got it.””
I think I’m going to go back and take advantage of the money, and that’s fine with me,” he added.
