Which burgers are the best? Burger King’s ad campaign may have failed to crack burger lovers

The Burger King ad campaign that was supposed to drive customers to Burger King restaurants across the country ended up being a flop.
The ad showed a man eating a burger that looked exactly like a real burger and ended up going viral.
A few days after the ad aired, Burger King announced it had received complaints from several customers about the ad.
But in a blog post Monday, Burger Group Chief Executive Officer Bob Fritsch defended the ad and said it has been viewed more than 1 billion times on YouTube.
“We had no choice but to do it,” Fritsche wrote.
“We have a long history of using creative to engage our customers.”
Burger King also announced that it has hired the company’s digital agency to help create a campaign for its online store.
Bururger King, which also owns Pizza Hut and KFC, said the ad has been seen by more than 3 million people.
Its first-week sales on YouTube have increased by more, from $11 million in March to $12.3 million last week.
In a statement, Burger President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Stoddard said the company has “never been more excited to deliver more than 50 burgers per minute to our customers” and that the burger campaign is just the first step in a new direction.
“We’re focused on the next generation of food, with new innovations, new product ideas and new ways to serve people,” Stoddards statement said.
