The biggest ad companies are moving to the cloud and using it to monetize their digital properties

An industry newsletter from advertising agency Bastrop tells Recode that ad agencies are moving towards cloud computing.
“Advertisers are now using the cloud to offer more tailored ads and to monetise their digital assets,” the newsletter says.
The ad agencies say the cloud has given them greater flexibility and control of their ad networks.
“In the past, we had to work with traditional ad agencies, who we had been working with for many years, to build the ad network for each client’s needs,” one ad agency told Recode.
“Now we have the flexibility to deliver our ads in the cloud, which means we can take advantage of cloud services that are built on top of our existing infrastructure.”
Another ad agency said cloud services are helping them scale their digital platforms.
“Cloud computing provides a huge amount of freedom to advertisers and partners.
It’s great for our clients and it’s great to see it also help us scale,” the ad agency, which declined to be identified, said.
The biggest ad firms in the US are all moving to cloud computing, and companies like Google are doing a lot of it, too.
The report also points to some new trends that are making advertising more attractive to digital media companies.
“As more and more digital businesses rely on ad networks, the need for ad networks is increasing.
Advertisers have more options to tailor their ads, and this allows advertisers to offer ads more relevant to the targeted audience,” the report says.”
These changes are expected to continue as digital media continues to evolve, and it will continue to be a competitive landscape for advertisers.”
