What to expect from this year’s specialty medical event

Here are some of the important dates for this year.
November 23-25, 2018The Mayo Clinic Medical Center in Rochester, Minnesota, is hosting a specialty conference in honor of its 50th anniversary.
This will be held at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester on November 23 and 24.
It will feature top specialists in dermatology, oncology, gastroenterology, radiology, and oncological surgery, as well as leading specialists in the treatment of cancer, diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases.
On November 25, the Mayo Family of Hospitals in Rochester will hold their annual general meeting, which will feature speakers from Mayo Clinic, Rochester General Hospital, and Rochester Children’s Hospital.
This event will be hosted by Mayo Family Chairman, Dr. Michael R. Maitland, along with Mayo Clinic Vice President of Medical Education, Drs.
William E. Tapp and David W. Seltzer.
Topics for the conference include: cancer prevention, obesity prevention, nutrition, preventive medicine, wellness, and the immune system.
There will also be an exhibit featuring a collection of medical equipment and equipment accessories.
The theme of the event will feature “The future of medicine.”

December 11-12, 2018A major event is coming for the Mayo family of hospitals in Rochester.
The Mayo Family is hosting its annual general assembly on December 11 and 12, which includes speakers from the Mayo and Rochester General Hospitals.
Topics include: infectious diseases, nutrition and nutrition education, chronic diseases, and geriatric medicine.
The event will also feature a special presentation on the history of Mayo Clinic’s pediatric cardiology and pediatric urology programs.
Registration is free and includes the opportunity to purchase a full calendar.
March 7-8, 2019The Mayo Family and the Mayo Institute of Health Sciences in Rochester are hosting their annual conference on March 7 and 8.
Topics will include: cardiovascular disease, diabetes care, and nutrition.
Registration for this event is $20 per person and includes admission to the Mayo Sportsplex.
The convention will also include a free registration session for the medical education team.
The registration fee will be waived for those with pre-existing medical conditions.

March 21-22, 2019In celebration of Mayo’s 50th Anniversary, the family of Mayo hospitals in the Rochester area will hold a special event.
This year’s event will include a presentation by Dr. David Tapp, Vice President, and Executive Vice President for Research and Development for Mayo Clinic and Mayo Institute.
Topics included for the celebration will be the Mayo Center for Pediatric Health and the research and development efforts of the Mayo Health Research Institute.
Registration will be free for all guests and attendees of the conference.
The conference will be at the University of Rochester and the University Health Network.
The medical education teams will be available for questions, questions, and presentations throughout the day.
Registration includes access to the conference and admission to both Mayo Sports Complex and Mayo Health Network for $60.

April 18-19, 2019As part of Mayo Family’s 50-year anniversary celebration, the medical schools of the Rochester Medical Center, Rochester Hospital, Rochester Childrens Hospital, University of Minnesota, and University of Michigan will hold an informational meeting.
Topics of the meeting include: specialty medical education, the new Mayo Institute for Health Research, and Mayo Clinic Family of Hospitalties.
Registration fee is $10.

This is the Mayo Childrens Health Research Center, which is a major hospital located at the campus of Ogden University.
